Taq OptiMix CLEAR 2x Master Mix is an optimized format of Taq DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix and is therefore a good alternative to Taq DNA Polymerase and Taq DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix.
Taq OptiMix CLEAR 2x Master Mix ensures the user an increased specificity and improved PCR performance, even on difficult templates. Taq OptiMix CLEAR 2x Master Mix offers reduced set-up time and eliminates the risk of contamination of reaction components. Taq OptiMix CLEAR 2x Master Mix is suitable for standard PCR applications, screening and high throughput testing.
Taq OptiMix CLEAR is a ready to use 2x reaction mix. Taq OptiMix CLEAR 2x Master Mix is composed of Ampliqon Taq DNA polymerase and an optimized buffer system including dNTPs and magnesium chloride.
Taq OptiMix CLEAR was compared with corresponding Taq DNA Polymerase master mixes from three well recognized competitors; T,K and N. Six different primer targets (BAIP, Q8, CFTR, ENG5, ENG9 and PAH) were evaluated. Taq OptMix CLEAR performed equally well or better on all six primer targets tested in this set up. Each amplification was conducted according to supplier’s manual.
PCR performance of Taq OptiMix 2x Master Mix Clear was compared to PCR performance of Ampliqon Taq DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix on six different DNA targets; varying in length BAIP (788), Q8 (727 bp), CFTR (613 bp), ENG5 (293 bp), ENG9 (293 bp), and PAH (203 bp). Increased specificity was obtained when using Taq OptiMix 2x Master Mix compared to Taq DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix.
